The Fat Radish

New York Fashion Week wouldn’t be complete without dinner at the latest hot spot which right now is The Fat Radish on the Lower East Side. Apparently it took Chrissy and Phil Winser, co-owners of The Fat Radish along with chef Ben Towill two years to get the place opened because they were newbies on the restaurant scene and didn’t have any strings to pull for a much coveted liquor license. The menu is British fare with a foodie twist. I got obsessed with the grilled cheese and pickles and the celery potpie but the whole menu is pretty fascinating and phenomenal. The vibe of the place is unassumingly cool and I’ve heard rumor of a dress code. The anchovy breadcrumbs were amazing as well. Love this place. The Fat Radish, 17 Orchard St. at Canal, 212-300-4053.
