Jason Wu is launching a lower priced collection with Nordstrom’s in January! I love Jason Wu’s designs so this is awesome news. Miss Wu (how cute, right?) will retail from $195 for a silk blouse to $795 for a black leather jacket. Ok, fine it’s not cheap but it’s definitely cheaper. The launch collection consists of 40 pieces inspired by Sixties icons like Jane Birkin. Thanks for the scoop WWD!

Everything But The Girl released “Missing” in 1994 which is when it got sucked into my cd player for a year. I’m not going to lie, one of the things I miss most about being on the East Coast is going upstate on the weekends. Malibu is not the same thing. This weekend I visited some old friends in Rhinebeck and Saturday night we went to dinner at Pan Zur, a Spanish place that opened up about two years ago in the same space where Val Nehez’s Cafe Pongo used to be. The wine and food were fantastic (though very heavy on the carnivorous side, including pig ears which I didn’t try, so be prepared). Next time you need a good destination for a day trip or a weekend away from the city Tivoli is the place. While I was at Bard I lived in no less than three different houses and apartments there.
How cute are the Mumford & Sons boys? Their second album, “Babel” will be released through Glassnote Records on September 25th and is produced by Markus Dravs. They’re also doing a small but very cool tour in some out of the way spots this summer and a larger tour this fall.
