The Last Days of Summer…

As Summer comes to a close I will not ruminate the fact that I didn’t go to the beach AT ALL but will rejoice that I was too busy working (!) I will not think about how awesome it would be to be sipping a cocktail on a yacht right now cruising through the waters towards Sardinia but will be grateful that I got to go to the Hamptons for 24 hours. I will not fantasize about someone whisking me off my feet and insisting I accompany him to Foxy’s this winter but will know that when he comes I will have more than enough fabulous swimwear to take with me… Love all of these Cruise 2012 pieces… Guess above and more below… Continue reading →

KAWS Opening in LA

Brooklyn-based artist KAWS is having a second solo show of paintings and sculptures at Honor Fraser‘s gallery in LA opening Saturday Sept 10th from 6-8pm. I love his work, still regret not having the chutzpah to rip one of those NYC phone booths open to get one of his pieces many years ago. Those Calvin Klein ads were so much better after he gave them his magic touch…

First, I am not always a fan of wedges. But since I have been bombarded by them this past season I feel a little brainwashed and have slowly started to succumb to the need. Plus the print on this Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2012 wedge is kind of making me weak in the heels… gorgeous.

Pink Tartan

So I have a new obsession with this Toronto based line Pink Tartan. Kimberley Newport-Mimran is the President and Head Designer of the line she co-founded in Toronto in 2002 and I am dying over some of the dresses and military looks she did for Fall 2011. I especially love one dress in particular that I actually pulled for Taryn but it was too big for her so I wore it to the InStyle summer soiree last Wednesday instead. The dress I wore (see below) will be available at Saks later this week although I fess up, I got it off the rack at their press showroom in NY a few weeks ago and promptly hijacked it with their permission to LA for the event.
