André Saraiva’s Short Film Debut

André Saraiva debuted his short film “The Shoe” in Paris earlier this week and in NYC last night. It’s shot in Paris and stars Leo Fitzpatrick (who we fell in love with in “Kids” years ago) along with André’s girlfriend Annabelle Dexter Jones and Poppy de Villeneuve. It’s pretty rad actually, lots of great music, tattoos, cool shots, anointed it-girls from both sides of the pond. I like it. Above, a shot of André I took in in Palm Springs a few years ago during Coachella. Watch a preview of the short Continue reading

SangA

I love this python satchel from Sang A, a bag line launched by Korean native Sang A Im-Propp in 2006. She started out as a dancer, actress and musician before venturing onto her love of design. Glad she did, I love multi-hyphenated talents.

Balmain Resort 2012

The hardest collection to edit a key look from. For real? It’s like a smorgasbord from heaven. Ridiculous. All of my favorite looks in one collection. I have no words… Balmain Resort 2012.

House of Harlow 1960

Nicole Richie has turned into quite the talented hyphenate and is now launching handbags for her House of Harlow 1960 line. Super cute and surprisingly affordable ($150 for the crocodile-printed clutch above). There are a few select designs for the launch using vintage leather, young calf hair and details like fringe and studs. I love the one above with the jaguar head. The line goes on sale mid-July at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Shopbop.

Donna Karan Resort 2012

Love the soft pretty vibe from Donna Karan, exactly what I want right now. Gorgeous, easy breezy and light. Dying to put someone into the gown above (or the pantsuit!!) for the Emmy’s.

Bulgari’s Le Gemme

Bulgari is launching 50’s and 60’s inspired sunglasses and prescription frames in October. There are three collections and the magical ones above are from Le Gemme Rare which has 10 one-of-kind designs made with diamonds and sapphires. The tiny works of art are all hand assembled in Italy and though slightly out of my price range ($44,000 to $92,000 for the diamond encrusted ones) are super sweet. The gold plated frames are slightly more affordable at $700 a pop.

Big Deal, New Band, New Album

Love this track from Big Deal out of London. The band is an English gal (Alice Costelloe) and an American guy (Kacey Underwood). Their debut album Lights Out is out on October 11th on Mute Records with a new single, “Chair” to be released August 30th.

Aldo Mandarin

In keeping with my current mandarin obsession these Aldo pumps are sublime. I picked them out for a friend of mine recently who will be kicking around in them all summer long I hope. I’ve also been painting my nails for weeks now with this shade of orange from Opi “A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find”. Ain’t that the truth champagne lovers?

Dior Resort 2012

I am so happy the bold colors trend isn’t going anywhere. If there is anything we need these days it’s everything bright & pretty to make the days glow sweeter and longer. Love Dior‘s Resort 2012 collection. Sweet, chic and wearable (though perhaps not always affordable but who cares…)
