This Roberto Cavalli satchel from Spring 2011 is admittedly a bit much but there is something about it I love… All those leather straps, hardware and stuff going on. Mine would probably end up with half the leather straps accidentally torn off by the end of week one but I like the sentiment.
Still obsessed with this opening sequence to IFC’s new show “Portlandia”. Genius. I saw the first episode a few weeks ago and can not get it out of my head. It stars SNL’s Fred Armisen, who is co-creator and co-writer with Carrie Brownstein who used to be in the awesome band Sleater-Kinney. Totally obsessed with this show… I haven’t seen anything this funny on TV since “Modern Family” began. Except maybe for “Raising Hope” which I think is brilliant as well.
This song is beyond… Just try and not cry while listening. So heartbreaking and beautiful. Adele‘s new album, “21”, was released in the UK January 24th and comes out in the US later this month, on February 22nd. Phenomenal, life changing, breathtaking music.

One of the greatest cinematic creations, ever, above. I never get enough of this one… Jean Luc Godard‘s second film, “Vivre Sa Vie” starring the irreplaceable Anna Karina, who he married in 1961. And only Godard could make small fleeting moments seem like the end of life as we know it, see below… At 80, he still makes films like no one else in the world. His latest, “Socialisme” screened at Cannes last year and was released in France in May 2010. Thank God he is still alive because that means there is the slightest chance that I may still meet him someday.
This was done in 2008 by my old agency in New York which I finally left a year ago. I always loved what they did with this though. I didn’t ask the guy who put it together to add the Joy Division track, but he is super talented and I think that was just a nice odd coincidence which I really liked.
There has been a slew of short fashion films this past year and the latest comes from Kate and Laura Mulleavy at Rodarte and stars Elle Fanning, who is pretty amazing and was the best Continue reading
