Napoleon Perdis ‘Boudoir Mist’ Spray Foundation

Last week while shooting the Denim of Virtue ad campaign (pics to come!) my beauty regimen was changed forever by one Ms. Kira Nasrat (who also did the fabu make up for our shoot). She introduced me to Napoleon Perdis Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation, which leaves skin all dewey with the perfect hint of a glow. I’m obsessed! All you do is spray your face with it once you’ve applied your make up. And the best part is it didn’t make my super sensitive to everything skin break out.

Jerome C Rousseau Launches Bags for Spring!

Here’s something to pep me up! I can finally post some photos of Jerome C. Rousseau‘s new bag line he is launching for Spring 2013. We were sworn to image secrecy back in September when I first previewed the bags during his stay at Soho House in NY during fashion week but the time has finally come when all of the print mags have had their exclusives and so now we can finally put these up!

Something Shiny from Aldo

Digging these sandals from Aldo. I am so bored by fashion right now I am embarrassed to say it out loud. Maybe fashion week will pep me up this week in NYC… Send inspiration my way please.

LA Rebellion: Creating a New Black Cinema

I will never tire of watching or talking about Charles Burnett’s film, “Killer of Sheep,” one of the greatest films ever made. UCLA and The Hammer Museum here in LA did a series called “LA Rebellion: Creating a New Black Cinema,” in 2011, which has now travelled to the Museum of Moving Image in NY starting February 2nd thru 24th. I met Charles Burnett at one of the LA screenings last year and like a giddy school girl groupie had him sign my DVD copy of “Killer of Sheep”. Yes, that happened. All the Golden Globes parties in the world can’t make me star struck the way a living artist like him does. Killer of Sheep screens on Friday February 8th at 7pm, 36-01 35 Avenue, Astoria, 718-777-6888. If you get a chance to see it on the big screen it is so worth it.

Hoorsenbuhs Bridal Collection & Forevermark at The Chateau

We went to PH64 at The Chateau on Wednesday night for a party hosted by Balthazar and Rosetta Getty to celebrate the launch of the HOORSENBUHS Bridal Collection featuring Forevermark diamonds and I kind of died over the rings. Not gonna lie, I want one. Mathieu Schreyer was DJing and there were lots of familiar faces at the fete including Courteney Cox, Eric Dane, Ashley Benson, Jacqui Getty, and Jamie King (I am obsessed with the coat she wore!) The Bridal Collection is available now exclusively at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills and New York City. Pics of the fun below… Continue reading

The Diary of A Nose

This month Rizzoli released Jean-Claude Ellena’s book, The Diary of A Nose, about his adventures as the exclusive perfumer of the house of Hermes in Paris, where he has been creating beautiful scents since 2004 (which means he is the one to thank for one of my all time favorite scents, Un Jardin sur le Nil!) I love when a good book shows up on my door step (*note to future gift givers: books, wine and parfume are the gateway to my heart…) Continue reading

The Knife, New Track, New Album

The Knife‘s latest album, Shaking the Habitual, will drop April 8th internationally and on the 9th in the US. This is one of the killer new tracks. Obsessed as always. Still dying over that track that was in one of my favorite films of 2012, Elles starring Juliette Binoche.
